The healer behind the work


I am a somatic and spiritual healer, author, and the founder of The Blue Healer Collective. But the reason I do this work isn't my credentials.

It's what I've lived.

I lost my mum at 14. I spent the next 20 years with an eating disorder, addiction, and relationship patterns that kept love just out of reach. No amount of talking about it healed it. What finally healed it was learning to feel it — in my body, with compassion, with support. Within 12 months of starting somatic work, I released the binging and purging, stopped the destructive patterns, and met and married the love of my life.

I thought I understood grief.

Then I lost Ellie.

My six-month-old blue heeler puppy. The dog this work is named for. When she left her body, she cracked me open in a way I had never experienced — and in doing so, opened healing of wounds I didn't even know were still there. Including childhood wounds I had carried for decades.

Is this therapy?

No. This is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for clinical mental health treatment. It is a somatic and spiritual healing program — led by someone with extensive training and a decade of practice. If you are currently in crisis or need clinical support, please reach out to a mental health professional. This program works beautifully alongside therapy for those who are stable enough to do deep inner work.

I've tried therapy and it didn't help. Will this be different?

Almost certainly yes — and here's why. Traditional talk therapy and CBT work at the level of the mind. They help you understand and reframe your experience. But pet grief, and the deeper wounds it often opens, doesn't live in the mind. It lives in the body. Gabor Maté's landmark work documents this precisely — the body stores what the mind refuses to feel. The Feeling for Healing™ methodology works somatically, at the body level, which is why it reaches places that cognitive approaches cannot.

I'm worried I'll fall apart if I start feeling this

This is the most common fear — and it makes complete sense. When you've been holding grief just below the surface, it feels like an ocean. Infinite. Bottomless.
